China’s State Post Bureau has opened an investigation into STO Express Co. Ltd., one of the country’s largest courier companies, over a string of workplace safety accidents across its franchise network.

The regulator announced the probe on Tuesday, citing frequent safety incidents and hazards identified this year at facilities operated by franchisees under the STO Express brand. It said the Shenzhen-listed company had failed to meet its responsibility to enforce unified safety management across the network.
