U.S. Proposes Ban on Domestic Drone Maker Over Alleged DJI Ties

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has proposed banning the import and sale of drones made by Texas-based Anzu Robotics, citing the company’s technological ties to a restricted entity widely understood to be the Chinese drone maker DJI.

The move would mark an escalation in U.S. scrutiny of foreign drone technology and suggests regulators are prepared to target U.S.-registered companies they suspect could serve as intermediaries for Chinese firms facing national security restrictions.
