Didi Swings to Quarterly Profit, but Overseas Push Weighs on First-Half Results

Didi Global Inc. returned to a net profit in the second quarter of 2026, but aggressive overseas expansion left the Chinese ride-hailing company in the red for the first half of the year.

The results highlight the financial strain of Didi’s renewed push into international markets including Latin America, where heavy spending to gain market share is eating into the strong profits generated by its dominant domestic mobility business.
