China’s New Home Prices Weaken Again as Recovery in Smaller Cities Falters

China’s new home prices showed renewed weakness in July, as an early recovery in second-tier cities lost momentum, according to official data released Monday. 

The setback highlights the fragility of efforts to stabilize the property market. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics also showed that broader real estate fundamentals remained subdued in the first seven months of 2026.
