Two successive heads of the Chinese military’s top science and technology commission have been removed from the country’s most prestigious academic institutions without an official announcement.
The Chinese Academy of Engineering recently removed the profile of Zhao Xiaozhe, a vice admiral of the navy and former director of the Central Military Commission’s Science and Technology Commission, from its official roster of members.
