Drone Tariff Response

China’s commerce ministry urged the U.S. to revoke its tariff measures on drones, saying the U.S. Section 232 measures stretch the concept of national security and discriminate against Chinese products.

Speaking at a regular press conference, commerce ministry spokesperson He Yadong said China opposes the tariffs, which harm Chinese enterprises’ interests, noting that China’s drone exports to the U.S. are mainly used in civilian applications such as agriculture, equipment inspection and entertainment.
