Chen Dongsheng, founder of Taikang Insurance Group Inc., stepped down as CEO last week, handing the reins to President Liu Tingjun in a leadership transition at China’s most profitable unlisted insurer.
The succession aligns with Taikang’s push for younger management and its strategic focus on health and eldercare.
Chen will remain chairman to oversee corporate strategy, risk management and major decisions, the company said in a statement on its 30th anniversary.
