Standard Chartered-Backed China Bohai Bank and Wealth Unit Fined Over $9 Million

China’s top financial regulator fined China Bohai Bank Co. Ltd. and its wealth management unit more than 60 million yuan ($9 million) for imprudent lending and irregular investments.
The National Financial Regulatory Administration fined the Hong Kong-listed bank 50.15 million yuan for imprudent practices in its loan, bill and wealth management businesses, according to an official notice.
