China’s State Capital Budget Revenue Jumps 40% as SOE Remittances Rise

China’s state capital operations budget revenue rose 39.8% year-on-year to 257.5 billion yuan ($38.3 billion) in the first seven months of 2026.

The figure, part of the country’s fiscal system, was disclosed in a recent budget execution report delivered by Vice Finance Minister Lin Zechang to the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Revenue collected by the central government jumped 84.8% to 122 billion yuan, while local government revenue increased 14.6% to 135.5 billion yuan from January through July.
