Xizang Psychiatric Hospital Executives Jailed in Insurance Fraud Case

Seven executives and staff members at a psychiatric hospital in China’s Xizang autonomous region have been sentenced to prison for defrauding the state health insurance fund of more than 9.6 million yuan ($1.43 million), authorities said Friday.

The Supreme People’s Procuratorate and the National Healthcare Security Administration detailed the convictions in a joint release of landmark enforcement cases, highlighting Beijing’s ongoing crackdown on medical fraud.
