(London) — A convicted Chinese serial rapist serving a life sentence in the U.K. could face fresh charges after London police uncovered evidence involving seven more women, expanding a sprawling investigation that has exposed an international drug-facilitated sexual assault ring.
The Metropolitan Police announced Monday that officers submitted a new file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service regarding Zou Zhenhao, a 29-year-old former doctoral student. The submission outlines allegations of rape and administering drugs with the intent to commit sexual offenses. Prosecutors will now determine whether to pursue additional criminal charges.
