Chinese commercial rocket startup Space Epoch announced Wednesday the completion of a Series B++ funding round, bringing the total capital it raised over the past six months to more than 2.3 billion yuan ($342 million), as the company moves toward a first orbital launch and recovery attempt late this year.
The fundraising underscores a broader investment boom in China’s commercial aerospace sector as domestic rocket makers race to develop reusable launch vehicles to deploy massive low-Earth orbit satellite constellations.
