China Probes Former Henan Securities Regulator Chief

Niu Xuefeng, former head of the Henan bureau of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), is under investigation for suspected corruption, about a year after his retirement.
The probe, announced Wednesday, follows the October investigation of Chu Tianhui, a former deputy head of the Henan bureau. Sources familiar with the matter told Caixin that Niu was briefly taken away at the time but was later released.
