China has unveiled a sweeping five-year plan for its electronic information manufacturing sector, aiming to boost the industry’s annual revenue beyond 30 trillion yuan ($4.5 trillion) by 2030.

Issued jointly by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the National Development and Reform Commission, the blueprint outlines strategic tasks for the 2026–2030 period. It underscores Beijing’s intensifying push to secure supply-chain self-reliance and global leadership in critical emerging technologies — from artificial intelligence to advanced computing—amid ongoing global competition.
