U.K. Freezes $71 Million London Mansion Linked to Prince Group Figure

(London) — British authorities have frozen a London mansion bought for 53 million pounds ($71 million) and registered to the wife of Hu Xiaowei, whom the U.S. Treasury describes as the second-in-command of the Prince Group transnational criminal organization. 

The property restriction follows U.K. sanctions on Hu in March. 

British land registry records show the Belgravia townhouse, in the Chelsea Barracks development, was registered to Hu’s wife, Zhao Chen. The property was purchased in October 2023 and spans about 1,366 square meters, with a private pool, cinema and wine cellar.
