China Financial Associations Standardize Personal Loan Cost Disclosure

Five major Chinese financial industry associations jointly issued guidelines Friday requiring lenders to use a standardized format to disclose the all-in annualized costs of personal loans.

The guidelines, effective immediately, provide operational rules for regulations issued by the People’s Bank of China and the National Financial Regulatory Administration that took effect Aug. 1.
