China’s crackdown on corruption in its multitrillion-dollar bond market is extending across the business chain, as authorities target what they describe as “new corruption and hidden corruption.”
On Sept. 11, authorities announced an investigation into Wang Wei, a senior account manager at BOC International (China) Co. Ltd.
Sources familiar with the matter told Caixin that the probe involves Wang Haiyang, a former business manager at China Construction Bank Corp.’s (CCB) capital pool division who was placed under investigation late last year.
