Former Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat urged countries to build resilience through economic restructuring and cooperation as they face technological change, energy transitions, shifting supply chains and geopolitical tensions.
Speaking Tuesday at the Asia New Vision Forum 2026 in Singapore, Heng, who is chairman of Singapore’s National Research Foundation and co-chair of the forum, said resilience requires three things: stability as a foundation, restructuring as the imperative, and cooperation as the multiplier.
