Seres, Huawei Come to New Agreement Over Aito

Chongqing-based automaker Seres Group Co. Ltd. and Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. have signed a new five-year strategic cooperation agreement to develop their Aito electric vehicle (EV) brand, signaling continued ties despite a recent move to loosen their partnership.

The rapid reversal highlights the heavy reliance of Seres on Huawei to maintain consumer appeal in a fiercely competitive market, as the Chongqing government aims to build the city into one of the world’s EV production hubs.
