China’s Gold Reserves Rise for 23rd Straight Month

China increased its gold reserves for the 23rd consecutive month in September, with the monthly purchase tying the largest in the current buying cycle.
As of the end of September, official gold holdings reached 77.47 million ounces, up 740,000 ounces from a month earlier, according to data released Wednesday by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
