Listen to the full version

Several leading Chinese polysilicon producers, including Tongwei Co. Ltd. and GCL Technology Holdings Ltd., held a closed-door meeting and agreed that the average tax-inclusive cost and sales price of silicon should not fall below 43,000 yuan ($6,425) per ton, according to media reports.
The silicon industry branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association expects the sector’s operating rate to drop to 35% in October, with production falling by about 13% month-on-month, which could help ease oversupply.
