Huang Ranfei, an executive at aluminum giant Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group Co. Ltd., was taken away by authorities around Saturday, at the same time as his father, former Chongqing Mayor Huang Qifan, sources familiar with the matter told Caixin.
The younger Huang oversees the private conglomerate’s Shenzhen operations. Calls to his mobile phone went unanswered for days.
