Decoding the “Davos of Liquor”: How the Chishui River Forum Is Giving Chinese Heritage a Global Business Language

The 2026 Chishui River Forum was held from October 16 to 18 in Maotai Town, Guizhou Province, under the theme “Interweaving Harmony, Advancing with the Times.” Industry leaders from 46 alcoholic-beverage institutions across 13 countries, along with cultural figures and experts, gathered to explore how the sector can draw on the traditional Chinese brewing philosophy of harmony between humanity and nature to preserve tradition while embracing innovation, and promote openness and sustainable growth in a changing world.
