Liquidators for China Evergrande Group had recovered about HK$3.4 billion ($433 million) by the end of September, less than 1% of the HK$360 billion claimed by offshore creditors.

The figures were disclosed in an Oct. 22 progress report by Tiffany Wong and Edward Simon Middleton of Alvarez & Marsal, whom a Hong Kong court appointed in January 2024 to oversee the developer’s liquidation.
