He Yafei is a distinguished professor at Yenching Academy of Peking University, senior researcher at Chongyang Institute of Financial Studies, Renmin University of China. He is also a former Chinese vice foreign minister and deputy director at the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.
