Will Americans Ride China's High-Speed Rails?

China builds high-speed railways in the United States? Hard to believe, perhaps, but the reality looks like a burly locomotive coming down the tracks.

Preparations for a China-U.S. railway deal have been under way on both sides of the Pacific ever since U.S. President Barack Obama visited China in late 2009.

For example, Caixin has learned from directors at China Railway Group Ltd. that the national railroad builder recently sent a delegation to the United States. And the transportation division of U.S.-based General Electric has signed contracts with another Chinese railroad expert, China Railway Construction., which could benefit from future American track projects.
