China Mulls Yuan Market in Shanghai

(Caixin Online) A central bank official said that the feasibility of an international yuan market will be studied so as to facilitate a global push of the yuan.

Su Ning, deputy governor of the People's Bank of China, said in Shanghai that he also supports the creation of an offshore market in Hong Kong. 

By the end of February, the volume of the cross-border yuan trade settlements increased to 11.6 billion yuan, Su said.
