Export Tax Rebates Said to be Under Review

(Beijing) – Chinese authorities are currently discussing a potential adjustment to the country's rebate policies, a source from the Ministry of Finance told Caixin, without adding further detail.

Rumors have circulated since early 2010 that the various government departments, including the Ministry of Finance, National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce, are mulling the reduction or repeal of tax rebates for exports of heavy polluting products.
