Tencent Third Quarter Profits Slow

(Beijing) – Tencent Holdings Ltd., China's largest internet portal company, reported third quarter earnings which marked a continued decline in growth since the end of 2009.

Total revenue for the company in the third quarter hit 7.5 billion yuan, up 43 percent from a year earlier. Between July and September, year-on-year profits rose by 12.8 percent, at 2.4 billion yuan.

Internet value-added services revenue reached 6 billion yuan during the same period, of which online gaming brought in 4.1 billion yuan and accounted for 55 percent of total revenue.
