COSCO to Open World's Largest Bulk Carrier

(Beijing) – China Ocean Shipping Co. (COSCO), the second-largest shipping company in the world, announced the launch of Cosco Bulk Carrier Co., Ltd.

"CBC is already registered in the Binhai new district of Tianjin, and company will officially be launched by the end of the month," a senior executive with COSCO told Caixin.

CBC has a registered capital of 1 billion yuan with total assets at 52.8 billion yuan, according to company filings. It has 420 bulk vessels, with a total carrying capacity of 40 million tons.
