China's White Goods Subsidy Policy Expires

(Beijing) – Amidst a dimming economic outlook, the white goods subsidy policy program that kicked off at the end of the 2008 financial crisis will be terminated by the end of this month.
Ministry of Commerce Spokesman Shen Danyang said at a news conference that the subsidy policy will expire as planned on December 31. Shen added that since the implementation of the policy, sales volume on a nation-wide basis for white goods increased by 20 percent by the end of November this year.
