Former Soccer Chief Says Confession Obtained Under Torture

(Beijing) – On suspicion of taking illicit payments for soccer club sponsorships and match-fixing, one Chinese soccer official said torture by police led to confessions for crimes he did not commit.
Last December, a series of graft trials surrounding China's Football Association and its former head, Xie Yalong, began. Several of the accused have already submitted confessions to their charges.
