NDRC Approves More Projects as Economy Struggles

(Beijing) – The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) approved ten projects last month, another dose of stimulus for a flagging economy.

The projects are in five central and western areas: Henan, Gansu, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and Chongqing. All are linked to environmental protection, the nation's top economic planner said on September 6. Nine are sewage treatment projects and the other will generate electricity by burning waste.
