NDRC Gives Green Light to Another Airport Project

(Beijing) – The National Development and Reform Commission has approved the building of a new airport in Yunnan Province, the latest in a string of infrastructure investments aimed to boost China's aviation capacity.

The airport in the southwestern province will be near a scenic spot to facilitate tourism, and be able to handle up to 450,000 people and 900 tons of cargo annually by 2020, the country's top economic planner said.
