Head of CNPC's Indonesia Operations Detained by Party Watchdog

(Beijing) – A graft scandal besetting the country's largest oil producer has expanded to include the head of China National Petroleum Corp.'s operations in Indonesia.
Wei Zhigang, general manager of CNPC's subsidiary in Indonesia, was detained by the Central Discipline Inspection Commission, the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency, a CNPC source told Caixin on October 17. He took the job in 2004.
