Airline Tycoon who Crashed and Burned Mounts a Comeback

(Beijing) – When Lan Shili, founder of East Star Airlines, stepped onto a flight to Beijing six months after his release from jail, he did not expect to find it was one of the planes he bought eight years ago.

The plane now belongs to state-owned China National Aviation Holding Co. (CNAH), the parent of Air China, the country's largest airline. It acquired East Star Airlines' assets after it went bankrupt.
