Budget Law Revision Proposes Letting Local Gov'ts Issue Bonds

(Beijing) – A draft revision to the country's Budget Law released on April 21 proposes allowing local governments to issue bonds on their own, a move that many experts have advocated as a solution to debt problems.

This is the third draft presented to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the country's top legislative body, for review.
