AIDS Patients, Activist Sue Budget Airline over Canceled Tickets

(Beijing) – Three people who were told by the staff of a budget airline they could not board their flight because some of them have AIDS have filed a lawsuit seeking a public apology and compensation.

Activist Cheng Shuaishuai and two others, Qin Yuejie and Shang Jing, filed the case against Spring Airlines Co. Ltd. in a court in the Dongling District of Shenyang, in the northeastern province of Liaoning, on August 14. Qin and Shang have AIDS.
