In Paris, It's All about Growth

Most people outside Europe have probably already forgotten the European Parliament election three months ago. In Europe, it's not quite forgotten because there is still no agreement about who the future formal leaders of the European Union will be. During several summits, the national leaders of the EU member states have tried to strike a deal, with limited success. The next attempt is on August 30 in Paris, but the game has changed. Within Europe, the EU and the European Commission are traditionally considered very powerful. For the same reason, the member states of EU have historically strived to win these positions.
