Senior Henan Legislator Falls under Scrutiny of Anti-Corruption Watchdog

(Beijing) – A senior legislator in Henan is being investigated by the Communist Party's anti-graft watchdog, becoming the first vice-provincial level official in the central province to come under suspicion amid a persistent corruption crackdown.

The Central Discipline Inspection Commission (CDIC) said on its website on September 21 that Qin Yuhai, the party secretary and vice director of the provincial people's congress' standing committee, is suspected of “serious violations of discipline and law."
