Former NDRC Official Admits in Court He Took Bribes

(Beijing) – A former deputy head of China's top economic planner who oversaw energy policies confessed in court to taking large bribes and using his position to seek personal gain.

Liu Tienan stood on trial in the northern province of Hebei on September 24. Liu, 59, is a former deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and ex-head of the National Energy Administration.
