A Rally for Regional Economic Integration

(Beijing) – As momentum picks up on a wide range of trade agreement negotiations, Singapore's efforts to accelerate regional economic integration have gathered force through the country's bilateral ties with China.

Attending this year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings being held in Beijing, the city state's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will come to China this week for the sixth time and meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Shortly before his visit, Singapore ambassador to China Stanley Loh met with Caixin in an exclusive interview on November 7 and offered observations on the APEC meetings, bilateral relations and how Singapore's experiences could be used as a reference as China continues along with reform.
