CPPCC Vice Chairman Faces Inquiry by Anti-Graft Watchdog

(Beijing) – The Communist Party's anti-graft watchdog has launched an investigation into Ling Jihua, vice chairman of the country's top political advisory body, the official Xinhua News Agency reported late on December 22.
Ling's downfall comes months after two of his brothers were detained.
The Central Discipline Inspection Commission (CDIC) said in a brief statement that Ling is being investigated for "suspected serious violations of discipline," the commission's preferred phrase for corruption.
