China Could See Capital Outflows This Year, Experts Say

(Beijing) – China will see an outflow of capital this year if the U.S. Federal Reserve raises interest rates amid a strong economic recovery and if China lowers rates during a slowdown, analysts say.
The U.S. dollar has gained as the country's economy recovers. The U.S. Dollar Index, which measures the performance of the currency against a basket of currencies including the euro and Japanese yen, rose from 80 to 90 last year.
