(Beijing) – Reforms to driving license policies under a pilot program might not do enough to address the spectrum of corruption within the system, an academic said.

The Ministry of Public Security has said it will roll out a pilot program within the year to deregulate the driving license system.

During a national seminar on administrative reform for the police force on April 15, ministry officials said that under the trial program, drivers can undertake self-study in preparation for licensing exams organized by the traffic administration division of the police.
