Party Graft Buster Announces Inquiry into Sinopec Executive

(Beijing) – The Communist Party's graft fighter said on April 27 it is investigating a senior executive at oil giant China Petrochemical Corp. (Sinopec Group).
Wang Tianpu, the general manager of Sinopec Group, is being investigated for serious violations of the law, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said.
Wang, 53, also served as the vice chairman of the group's listed subsidiary, China Petroleum & Chemical Corp., which is often referred to as Sinopec.
