(Beijing) – A waste incineration project dropped six years ago is now being resumed in northern Beijing, even though residents continue to have misgivings.

On the afternoon of April 23, about 20 residents from the Asuwei community in the capital's Changping District held a peaceful protest outside the local environmental protection bureau. Inside, a small public hearing was being held for a waste incineration project planned in the area.
