Eurozone Debt Rises Again, but Few Care

The latest "rescue deal" for Greece was not yet finalised before the conditions needed to be softened up. The prior rescues required a few months before the conditions could not be met. As part of the new agreement, Greece must generate a primary fiscal surplus before interest rate payments. But because the economy is continuing to deteriorate, the message was that the goals cannot be achieved.
