GSK's Troubles in China Are Thing of the Past, CEO Says

(London) – British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline has had a bumpy ride in China over the past two years with its operations in the world's second-largest economy coming under investigation over bribes to medical workers and organizations to boost sales.
Five of GSK's executives were handed suspended prison sentences by a Chinese court last year and it was fined 3 billion yuan. The company has downsized its workforce in the country, firing employees it says violated its code of conduct.
