Graphics: Key Trade Role

(Beijing) – China plays a key role in boosting exports in Asia and the Pacific area above the growth rate seen in the rest of the world, a recent United Nations report says.
The economic downturn caused global exports to increase only 0.6 percent last year compared with 2013, according to the UN's Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Report 2015. It added that total exports in Asia and the Pacific region grew by 1.6 percent last year, but when China was excluded from the total, the figure declined by 0.4 percent.
